Christine McGuinness opens up about struggles with ADHD medication

Christine McGuinness has shared that she is now on her third type of ADHD medication after suffering with side effects from previous prescriptions.

The former Real Housewives of Cheshire star, 37, was diagnosed with autism and ADHD in 2020.

Christine has previously admitted that she spent the majority of her life unaware of why she acted differently from others while growing up.

She also shared that she has been struggling to ‘regulate her nervous system and control what she says.’

Sharing an incredibly glamorous selfie, Christine posted a lengthy note, on social media writing:

‘3 weeks off my second type of ADHD meds-3 days into my third type of ADHD meds!(I am neither for or against meds-it’s personal choice and you have to do whatever is right for you).

She continued:

‘I have been on them early last year and I am still unsure! Mainly because off the side effects, I had to come off them but I am trying one last time praying they work because although it was lovely feeling like ‘ME’ again (unmedicated me-I miss you already).’

‘I am unable to regulate my nervous system, control my mouth, or put up with people’s BS (joking kind of) but I know I will one day Round 3.’ Some of the text read:’ Craves connection, but also alone time,’ as well as

‘Socialising is basically cardio.’ Christine also penned:’AUDH: I’ts not confusion-its creative chaos with a side of overthinking.’

Her post comes shortly after Christine announced she is preparing to lift the lid on her life post-with plans for a brand-new ‘tell-all’ memoir.
